10,000 Trees Project

South Africa produces 430,000 tons of CO2 each year. Thousands of people drive to Technopark every day, contributing to this statistic. Isn’t it time we did something to reduce our country’s carbon footprint?

At Technopark, our goal is to create 5km of natural hedging by planting 10,000 Spekboom trees 50cm apart. Not only will this enhance the beauty of the park, it will also improve our carbon footprint. Spekboom trees remove up to 100 times more CO2 from the atmosphere than a pine tree. Once we have achieved our goal, these trees will remove more than 4000kg of carbon from the atmosphere each year.

We are inviting all the tenants of Technopark to join this important campaign by sponsoring a Spekboom from WonderPlant. To read more about their initiative, click here or visit their website
